UN Water Day March 22nd.
Make an effort to use a little less water today. Texas is considered to be in a water drought. Water isn’t everywhere in usable form and this makes water a scarce resource, not only worth conservation efforts but essential action must be taken to preserve our tributaries and water supplies. The UN initiative called “Water For Life” and “Water for Women” seeks to get awareness of the problem areas and commitments needed to secure safe, sanitary water.
Would you be surprised to know that a million people a year die from Malaria?
What are a few things you do on a personal level?
Clean up a beach or local lake area.
Check your sprinkler system.
Use biodegradable products.
Use hydrogen based bleach instead of Chlorine bleach.
Teach a child to use less water when brushing thier teeth.
There are thousands of possibilities. Visit the UN website if you want more info: www.un.org/waterforlifedecade
